A very simple, five ingredient mashed potato recipe.
Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 4 gold potatoes, roughly the same size if possible peeled or skin on (whichever is preferred)
- 1/2 milk or cream
- 3-4 T butter
- Kosher salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Place potatoes in boiling water for 40 minutes or so until soft when poked with a fork. Drain water, then mash.
- Add butter. Mix to melt butter. Then stream in milk and mix.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. At least a couple large pinches of salt and a handful of grinds of pepper.
